Update from Stephanie Stafford, Africa Team Leader on Saturday 1-15-2011:
We arrived safely in Rustenburg late Thursday evening (your afternoon!) Since then we have been adjusting to the time & culture, & preparing to set off for Botswana [on Sunday Jan 16th]. The team will split into 2 groups until the 25th. During that time our ministry will include door to door evangelism, house visits with HIV/Aids patients, feedings, VBS & teaching in a local church. We are all really excited for what is ahead!
“Pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains. Pray that I may proclaim it clearly, as I should.” – Colossians 4:3-4
Although we are told there will be internet cafes available, we are unsure how reliable they will be. We will try our best to keep you updated on all that God is doing, but [communication] may be [limited] until our return to South Africa on January 25th!
Update from Stephanie Stafford, Africa Team Leader on Monday 1-17-2011:
My team arrived in Botswana yesterday & spent the evening there. This morning we traveled 4 hours north to another city. Tasha´s team stayed in SA Sunday & traveled this morning to Botswana where they will stay the week. Tasha is working with a woman who is starting a new work in Botswana, she is AWESOME & I think the
team is going to have a great time with her. My team took public transportation it went great, and the Pastor we are working with did his YWAM schools in Zimbabwe & is hosting our team in his home. His family is wonderful. They have quite a busy schedule for us, but everyone is handling it well.
Tasha will return to SA Monday of next week, and my team on Tuesday.
