What now!?! Post wedding blues for Mom

Kadie’s wedding and all its many preparations and jobs is now OVER…..so what do I do with my life NOW?

I guess I could “blog”….but what could I possible have to blog about NOW?  Could I blog about having nothing to blog about? That sounds boring…..okay lets do it.

Me: Gary….will you take a photo of me as I sit here being empty and aimless?

Gary: …..sure as soon as I am done with my work here that supports your being able to NOT work….

Me: …No I need it now….I have some very important blogging to do….don’t you want me to become a popular blogger that everyone wants to follow???  This is essential ya know!

Gary:  Oh of course! How thoughtless of me….give me the camera

Do I look aimless enough? Or pensive enough or just like I'm posing? I don't want people to think I'm a poser.

I decided to stop bothering Gary and take my “own photo”  of myself being aimless and lost.

Somehow it just doesn't seem the same when you take it yourself!

…… you can’t see my expression so that just won’t work.

Even Aden was aimless and could sympathize with my delimma…
…so he dressed up in the winter snowman apparel we have stored in the mud room to make me laugh.

I rewarded him by taking him to the park to ride the carousel and play in the splash pad

"This is fun Mom, but I don't wanna get wet"

Then we went back home and made dinner.

For me, turkey breast 2 oz, 2 entire eggplants and one bunch of asparagus.

For Gary, Jack and Aden, blueberry pancakes, bacon, and eggs….whatever!

This morning I woke up and decided that perhaps I need to get back to work….I mean actual “make money” kind of work. So I will start to book some business for the coming year and get the ball rolling again.  I mean, if I am going to pass on the business to my children and their spouses there kinda needs to be a little to “do” in said business.

…..but first I will take the weekend off….as I have noticed my two FAVORITE bloggers have done, http://thegoodgreatsby.com/ and http://www.theartofdoingstuff.com/ which left me bereft this morning as I rose at 5am to read their blogs and NEITHER were on my e-mail as a new post as it usually is every morning! My day just got started off sucky….but were gonna turn that all around now that I have actually put something together for my blog….which is well….a bit lacking…..however…..here it is……

Happy Saturday everyone! Enjoy the sunshine if you have it!

If you don’t… make some of your own!

dearest bored Barbie, I am going to begin a blog!!! I got some old magazines about being women from about Victorian era. some will be funny when compared to today; hopefully some helpful (home remedies, recipes, etc). I don’t know anything about setting it up but a friend at work does.
Again, I loved every part of the wedding! I love you!

  5. Nice bloggin, I just woke up from a heavy, kind of hot nap. Sprung right into this, now I’m back on my feet, and running. I’ve never left a reply to a blog, unless FB is basically bloggin? So, what am I, a commenter on a blog or a blogger? I’m fourth response. And 2 oz of turkey?? It doesn’t seem like much but it sure goes a long way. I’ll find out about the eggplants some other day.
